Privacy Policy

1. Overview

Pixel Genie ("we", "us", or "our") provides AI-powered image generation tools at pixelgenie.app. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the service you agree to the practices described here.

2. Information we collect

Account information

When you register, we collect your email address, a username, and a password (stored as a salted hash). If you sign in with Google, we receive your verified email address, a unique Google account identifier, and your basic profile information (name, profile picture). We do not receive your Google password.

Generated content

We store the prompts you submit, the images you generate, and metadata about each generation (model used, parameters, timestamps). Public gallery submissions are visible to others; private generations are visible only to you.

Billing information

Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your full card number — Stripe handles that directly. We retain non-sensitive billing metadata (subscription status, plan, invoice history) returned by Stripe.

Technical information

We log IP address, user-agent, and request metadata for security, abuse prevention, and operational debugging. These logs are retained for a limited period.

3. How we use your information

• To provide and operate the service (account auth, image generation, billing).
• To send transactional emails (verification, password reset, billing receipts).
• To prevent abuse, fraud, and violations of our terms.
• To improve the product (aggregate usage analysis; not sold to third parties).
• To comply with legal obligations.

4. Third-party services

We share the minimum information required with the following processors:

• Google — OAuth sign-in (if you choose Google login).
• Stripe — payment processing.
• Brevo — transactional email delivery.
• Cloudflare — content delivery and DDoS protection.
• DigitalOcean — server hosting.
• Scaleway — encrypted object storage for generated images.
• AI model providers (e.g. OpenAI, Replicate, Stability AI, Fal, Google AI, Luma, Runway) — your prompt and any input images are sent to the selected provider for generation. Each provider has its own privacy policy.

We do not sell your personal information.

5. Cookies and local storage

We use a small number of essential cookies and browser storage entries to keep you signed in, remember preferences (theme, language), and prevent CSRF. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

6. Data retention

Account and content data is retained while your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your generated images and personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain records (e.g. tax/billing records via Stripe). Anonymized aggregate data may be retained indefinitely.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live (e.g. EEA/UK under GDPR, California under CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to certain processing. You can exercise most of these rights directly from your account settings, or by contacting us.

8. Children

Pixel Genie is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.

9. Security

We use industry-standard security practices, including TLS in transit, encryption at rest for sensitive fields, and least-privilege access controls. No service can be guaranteed 100% secure; please use a strong, unique password.

10. International transfers

Your information may be processed in countries other than your own, including the United States and the European Union. We rely on standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards where required by law.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced via email or a prominent notice in the app. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
